What is a paper-plastic packaging bag?

Paper-plastic packaging bags are generally composed of two sides, one side is paper that can pass

through and discharge sterilization factors, and the other side is a transparent composite film (plastic film)

that cannot penetrate liquids, air and gases. The exchange of air disinfection factors is carried out on the

paper side. Due to the material, it also has a good microbial barrier function, and the plastic film side

allows the contents of the package to be visible, making the packaged items clear at a glance and having

good anti-seepage ability.

What kind of equipment needs to be packaged in paper plastic bags?

Individually used instruments, lightweight instruments are generally packaged in paper plastic bags. Paper plastic bag packaging is conducive to visually observing the discoloration of indicator cards, as well as visually inspecting the style and model of instruments, making it convenient for surgical personnel to quickly and conveniently retrieve instruments for use.

What are the requirements for paper plastic bag packaging?

  1. Sealed packaging usually uses the method of heat sealing. Select packaging materials of appropriate size for plastic sealing, with a sealing width of ≥ 6mm at the sealing point; The distance between the instruments inside the package and the sealing point of the packaging bag is ≥ 2.5cm. If the items are too close to the sealing point, the sealing point may break during the sterilization process, and if the packaging bag is too large, it may cause the items inside to move and cause the packaging bag to break.
  2. When packaging, it is necessary to check the cleanliness and dryness of the packaged items. During high-pressure steam sterilization, the cleaning and drying of the instruments are not complete, and residual oil and water can easily wet the paper surface, causing wet packaging. Protect sharp instrument parts, such as sharp scissors, by using instrument protective sleeves or silicone tubing to prevent puncturing the paper plastic packaging and causing sterilization failure.
